Studio Policies

Payment

Payment is due in full at the end of the session and can be made in cash, by check, by PayPal, or by credit card using PayPal.  Any fees for bounced checks will be the financial responsibility of the client.

Session Start Time

Basic setup will be done by your engineer at no cost to you before you arrive.  For billing purposes, the start time of the session begins when the client is scheduled to arrive.  Upon arrival, further setup will be done based on the client’s specifications.

Session End Time

Beyond the one hour minimum, session time is computed for billing by charging for the exact hours and minutes used.

Deposit

For new clients, a one hour deposit is required. Payment can be made above or in person.

Cancellation Fee

There is a cancellation fee of $50 for all clients who fail to cancel studio time within 24 hours of the scheduled session.

Fixes and Re-edits

This section concerns work done by The Smooth Spot on the project after the client has left the studio.  For example, alternate mixes, you request which I send to you by email.  Any time spent on these tasks will be billed by the minute at my hourly rate of $95/hour.
