David Loud, musical director for Porgy and Bess, The Scottsboro Boys, Ragtime, Sondheim on Sondheim, Steel Pier and many other broadway shows brought a very talented cast of singer/actors into The Smooth Spot to record songs from his new original musical, You and I. Singing the leading role was Howard McGillin, a Tony-nominated stage, screen and television actor, perhaps best known for his role of John Jasper in Drood and for being the world’s longest running Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.
Lewis Cleale, currently on broadway in The Book of Mormon, recording a poignant duet with Howard McGillin. Lewis has also been on broadway in Spamalot, Amour, Once Upon a Mattress and Swinging on a Star.
